Addictions North East (ANE) is a Registered Charity (Number 1102494).
We provide help, support, counselling, mentoring for individuals and families with substance and other process addictions, mental health issues, and other neurodiverse conditions.
We offer Housing Support and Accommodation and conduct outreach work throughout County Durham, Tyne and Wear and South Northumberland and a range of other multi-disciplinary support functions. We also work with family members of our service users and offer specialist support to them, including an out of hours emergency helpline.
ANE promotes recovery from addiction and mild mental illness such as depression, low self-esteem, diminished self-confidence, and other well-being issues. We also support people with neurodiverse conditions such as personality disorders, autism, and related conditions.
We conduct regular group work sessions and face-to-face sessions. We also offer telephone counselling and recovery coaching. Our advice and support are confidential, affordable, and effective. Our Recovery Housing Department is now operational within parts of the North East of England.
Our Charity receives support from Addictions UK – the leading provider of Home-based addictions treatment, and we are grateful to them for providing a significant part of our income over the last several years.
Our Trustees are thankful to other charitable agencies for their generosity, and which we have listed under Partner Organisations, for offering us grants from March 2020 which have enabled a considerable expansion of our work.
