Addictions North East offers a range of services to people with addictions problems to clients with addiction problems.
Because of the unique delivery of our programme we are able to support people wherever they may be. Our programme is exceptional in that we can reach people by telephone, or on line or by text or by other means, even when they cannot access help in the usual ways.
Among others, we can help:- People living in rural areas suffering poverty or with inadequate public transport or with issues surrounding confidentiality within that setting;
- Those who need to continue in employment for personal or family reasons;
- People engaged in sensitive employment - e.g. key public sector employment status, senior executives in the private sector, professionals- including medics and lawyers etc., entrepreneurs, and people in the public-eye;
- People from black and ethnic minority communities who in many cases do not have access to existing services for cultural and social reasons;
- Isolated people from urban areas;
- Lone parents - often scared of losing their children to the care-system;
- Lesbian and gay people who fear institutionalised sexism and homophobia.
