Addictions North East offers support to addicts and their carers in an holistic way, recognising the importance of successful treatment programmes and addressing social exclusion issues.

Addictions North East is a registered charity and limited company, run by recovering addicts with good clean time and experienced carers with the active support of a Board of Trustees.

Our work is free at the point of service and we are grateful to various Trust Funds and public sector agencies for their financial contributions to our vital work.

Addictions North east was established by a group of recovering addicts, alcoholics and carers in 2002 and soon after was granted registered charity status. We seek to bring recovery to others and we hope to remain client focused - always offering shared hope strength and experience.

All our support staff, including volunteers, are recovering addicts with excellent clean time and our "Families and Friends" support team all have active experience of addiction within their own families. Our Board of Trustees is chaired by a leading North East businessman.

We continue to work and actively market our services to Public Sector Organisations, other Third Sector Agencies and to self-referring addicts and carers.
